Choose Joy

For a long time, I’ve been so angry. About a lot of things, about situations and people that let me down and that I had no control of. But this undying anger is eating me alive from the inside out and I don’t know what to do. I read somewhere that happiness is a choice, so I think I want to try something new. I’m choosing joy.

    I have been there my dear, just make the conscious decision to be happy and happiness will come. Things that will ordinarily get to you just try and ignore them. All is well with you!!

    I understand the anger. So much shit going on in this world, you’d have to be half dead not to rail against it but you especially Sugabelly really really do deserve to have real joy in your life!
    So my solution is instead of just being awash with rage, try to take the emotion and channel it into positive action.

    Choosing joy is the easier option, I tell you. If you happen to fall into the abyss of misery, you’ll find out that getting in is easy but climbing out – now that’s a herculean challenge.

      I totally agree, getting out of it is much harder, but years of fighting clinical depression has taught me that my feelings come and fo and even when i feel like i’m in the deepest, darkest pit of despair, I remember that one day, some day I won’t feel this way and that’s a very encouraging thought.
