  • Waiting for Prince Charming

    March 5, 2012

So I heard that a lot of young girls/women dream of the day they will get married/ the man that will marry them.

    Is this true?
I have never once dreamed of “the person” I will marry (this doesn’t include dreaming about someone I’m already in love with/in a relationship with) nor have I ever dreamed about getting married in general.
All of my most enjoyable (and frequent )dreams are about the day my bank account will read $XXX million dollars or pounds or even riyal if possible.
    Am I abnormal?

Nope, you’re not abnormal. When I was a teenager, I was dreaming of all the people I was going to have sex with (I had a quota to fill), all the money I would make and all the places I would travel to. I’ve only managed to somewhat fulfil one of those dreams :D

I didn’t dream of marriage at all, though I did dream of falling in love. People said that I didn’t dream of marriage because I ‘did not know anything’. I’m older now but perhaps I still don’t know anything because I’m not dreaming of marriage even now.

I dream of having some good money in my account too, and of living a great and fun-filled life hehehehe… never dreamed about “prince charming” or about marriage… so you are not abnormal or perhaps we are a bunch of weirdos :p

I never dreamed about marriage when I was younger. Love, sometimes, fame and riches mainly ^_^

I worry for the girls who are fixated purely on the Prince Charming ideal – if they have issues, having a man in their lives isn’t going to fix that…
